The 2016 GSF scholarships, managed by the  Grace Scholarship Fund (GSF) are now open to students applicants from Jamaica. This annual 2016 GSF Scholarship program presents six (6) awards ranging in value from US$500 to US$1,000, which are sponsored by individuals and organizations.

The Grace Fund Scholarship was founded in 2013 to provide academic scholarships, service opportunities and leadership experiences for young Jamaican students of outstanding promise.  

The fund provides 2016 GSF scholarships awardee with the financial aid assistance to help them attend some of the finest colleges & universities both domestically and abroad.  Their hope is that recipients will go on to achieve exemplary success in the classrooms and in their chosen fields of expertise and make Jamaica proud.

The following are the 2016 GSF Scholarships on offer details:


Sydonie Neysmith Scholarship for Graduates of Titchfield High – $500

Requirements:

  • Must be a Jamaican National
  • Must be current student at Titchfield High or be a recent graduate of Titchfield High
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at any college or university on the island of Jamaica OR planning to be enrolled in the next 9 months

Dr. Keith Williams Dental Scholarship – $500

Requirements:

  • Must be a Jamaican National
  • Must have attended and graduated high school in Jamaica
  • Must be currently enrolled in the Dental program at the University of West Indies – Mona Campus

Tallawah Scholarship for STEM Students

Requirements:

  • Must be a Jamaican national
  • Must be pursuing a STEM degree (science, technology, engineering or math)
  • Preference given to those who currently reside in the Mountain View/Saunders Avenue Area
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at any college or university in Jamaica or planning to be enrolled in the next 6 months
  • Must have graduated from a Jamaican high school

Hummingbird Scholarship – $500

Requirements:

  • Must be a Jamaican National
  • Must be in financial need
  • Must have graduated from high school in Jamaica (or be graduating in the next 3 months)
  • Must be enrolled in a higher education program (or plan to be in the next 9 months)

Community Scholarship – $300

Requirements:

  • Must be a Jamaican National
  • Must be in financial need
  • Must have graduated from high school in Jamaica (or be graduating in the next 3 months)
  • Must be enrolled in a higher education program (or plan to be in the next 9 months)

Charissa Lawrence Scholarship for Business Students – $1,000

Requirements:

  • Must be a Jamaican National
  • Must have attended high school in Jamaica
  • Must be currently enrolled in a college or university level full-time business program
