Burger King National Scholarship Criteria
PEP Grade 6 Scholarship Criteria
Each applicant must provide certified copies of two term reports from the Grade 6 academic year
Must have at least an 85% or B+ average
NB – applicants’ PEP results will be ranked by the Ministry of Education
Must be involved in at least two (2) extracurricular or community activities
Tertiary Scholarship Criteria
Must be accepted to commence tertiary studies in September 2023 at a recognized university/college in Jamaica
Must have at least an 85% or B+ average
Each applicant must provide copies of their CAPE and/or CSEC results
Must submit an essay not exceeding 500 words outlining why they should be awarded the scholarship
Must be involved in at least two (2) extracurricular or community activities

Tertiary Studies Awards
Lois Sherwood Scholarship valued at $1,000,000 payable over 3 years of tertiary studies
Awarded to an exceptional 6th form student in need from St. Andrew High School for Girls.
Rodwell Lake Scholarship valued at $1,000,000 payable over 3 years of tertiary studies
Awarded to an exceptional 6th form student in need from St. George’s College.
2 Burger King Open Tertiary Scholarships (Male and Female) valued at $1,000,000 payable over 3 years of tertiary studies
Open to two exceptional students in need from any parish.
Lois Sherwood Arts Scholarship valued at $300,000 for a final year at Edna Manley College
Open to any exceptional student in need from the Edna Manley College, starting their final year of studies (any faculty).
Burger King Foundation Employee Tertiary Scholarship valued at $300,000 per year for 3 years of tertiary studies
Burger King Foundation Employee Tertiary Bursary valued at $150,000 for first year of tertiary studies
Must be employed to Burger King Jamaica for at least one year of unbroken service.
Burger King Foundation Tertiary Scholarship valued at $300,000 per year for 3 years of tertiary studies
Burger King Foundation Tertiary Bursary valued at $150,000 for first year of tertiary studies
Open to any exceptional student in need from any parish.
Secondary School Awards
Two (2) Sports Scholarships (Male and Female) each valued at $50,000
Awarded to two exceptional 5th form student athletes who have excelled in their sport and have achieved an average of at least 75%.
Payable for one year only per awardee.
PEP Awards
Five (5) awards valued at $50,000 per year for 5 years of high school
Open to primary school Grade 6 students island wide.
10 Book Grants valued at $15,000
Payable for one year.
“Valda Ormsby” Scholarship valued at $50,000 per year for 5 years at Clarendon College
Open only to Kellits Primary School Grade 6 students.
