The KOICA Scholarship Programme, administered by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), offers fully funded Master’s and Doctoral degrees in South Korea for talented government officials from partner countries. This initiative forms part of KOICA’s CIAT (Capacity Improvement and Advancement for Tomorrow) Fellowship, which empowers future leaders to transform their countries through advanced education and technical expertise.
Eligibility: KOICA Graduate Scholarship
This opportunity is open to Jamaican nationals who are:
- Public sector employees (must be officially nominated by their Ministry/Agency)
- Preferably under the age of 40
- In good physical and mental health
- Holders of a Bachelor’s degree for Master’s OR a Master’s degree for Doctoral programmes
- Experienced in the relevant field (2 years for Master’s; 3 years post-Master’s for Doctoral)
- Proficient in spoken and written English

Obligation
- Successful candidates will be required to sign a Loan Agreement for Education and
- Training (Bond Agreement) at the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service prior to departure.
- Agree to return to work in Jamaica for at least five (5) years to contribute to economic and social development of the country.
