The Jamaica Flour Mills Foundation has expanded its scholarships to target students who reside in the Kingston 2 communities surrounding its plant in eastern Kingston, and those pursuing studies in the field of baking.

“For the past 30 years the Jamaica Flour Mills foundation has offered scholarships and grants for students pursuing full-time studies at local universities. However, for their 32nd year we’re introducing two new scholarships — the JFM Community Scholarships & Grants and the JFM Baking Technology Scholarships,” explained Megan Lindo, Human Resource Officer at Jamaica Flour Mills with direct responsibility for the JFM Foundation.

“These will be in addition to the Jamaica Flour Mills Foundation General Scholarships which are open to persons residing outside of the Kingston 2 area,” she added.

The Jamaica Flour Mills Foundation made its first award in 1988.
