The JWN Foundation is accepting applications for their community scholarships from June 9, 2021 to July 7, 2021. This year’s scholarship awards program is open to secondary and tertiary students from the following communities in the parishes of Kingston/St Andrew, Clarendon and St Elizabeth.

Olympic Way, Riverton Meadows, Majestic Gardens, Waterhouse, Seaview Gardens, Race Course, Gimme-Me-Bit, Water Lane, Vernamfield, York Town Milk River, Holland, Siloah, Thornton, Balaclava and Maggotty.

JWN Foundation Scholarship Application Process

Applications for the JWN Foundation 2021 scholarships will be open on June 9, 2021 and closes on July 7, 2021. Application forms can be accessed and download through the following link HTTP://WWW.JWNSCHOLARSHIP.COM and must be submitted with the required documents to the above email address.

Shortlisted tertiary students will be invited to attend an online interview and will be required to do a short presentation on their essay.

Due to the financial and academic impact of COVID-19 on our students, JWN Foundation will continue to provide scholarship support to their returning 2021/2022 secondary scholarship students.

Returning 2020/2021 Foundation secondary scholarship students must meet the academic criteria of achieving a grade average of 80% and above. The JWN Foundation welcomes new tertiary scholarship applicants for the 2021/2022 academic year.

JWN Foundation Scholarship Academic Criteria

Successful student applicants must maintain a 3.0 GPA/B+average or higher. The applicant must complete the statement of financial need and be willing to participate in at least 72 hours volunteer hours per year.

Write a 1000 words essay titled “How will your study of _____________ help you to make a valuable contribution towards Jamaica’s economic development.”

A reference letter from the Member of Parliament (MP), Justice of the Peace, Church Leader, Principal or Police Officer above the rank of Officer. A recommendation form an academic advisor and or a professor is required. Short listed JWN Foundation scholarship awards program will be called for a online panel interview.

Its important to note that the JWN Foundation will have exceptions on a very limited basis!
