@MOFPJA Scholarship@MOFPJA Scholarships are Open!

The Ministry of Finance and Planning (@MOFPJA) are the official local government and bilateral scholarship authority in Jamaica. 

The Scholarships and Assistance Unit, Public Service Establishment Division, manages the GOJ Civil Service Training  Programme and acts as Point of Contact for the various donor Agencies and Countries offering technical assistance to the Government under bilateral and multilateral agreements.

In this regard, this office is responsible for disseminating information on training and study opportunities as they become available. For all the courses, unless otherwise stated, application forms are available at this office.

The following are @MOFPJA scholarships that are now open and accepting scholarship applications for Jamaican students to study in various bilateral study abroad programs. 

For @MOFPJA China Scholarship Program: 

China Foreign Affairs University (CFAU) is the institution of higher learning which operates under the guidance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China. It is one of the most distinguished universities in China offering international relations programs. Since 2011 fall semester, CFAU has offered a one-year Master of International Relations Program, approved by the Ministry of Education, the People’s Republic of China.

The program is open to students from developing countries with professional background of International Relations, Diplomacy, International Politics, Comparative Politics, Political Theory and World History, and with the relevant ability of research. The target of the program is to provide professional training for personnel in Foreign Service, Higher Education and Research Institutes.

Other @MOFPJA Scholarships

The OAS Academic Scholarship Program (Regular Program), established in 1958, grants scholarships every year for the pursuit of Master’s Degrees, Doctoral Degrees and Graduate Research leading to a university degree through the @MOFPJA.

The OAS Special Caribbean Scholarships Program (SPECAF), established in 1983, grants scholarships for the last two years of undergraduate studies to citizens and residents of the English-speaking Caribbean OAS Member States, and Suriname. Both programs follow the OAS Manual of Procedures for the Scholarship and Training Program.
