SLB Extends the 2017/2018 Application Period for SLB Loan
The Students’ Loan Bureau (SLB) wishes to advise that the 2017/2018 SLB loan application period has been extended to June 30, 2017. SLB loan Applications for the Targeted loans will be accepted for both new and returning applicants.
Kindly note that there is a Late Processing fee of $5,000 which is in addition to the Status Report Fee of $950 (returning students) or Application Fee of $1,000 (new applicants). Payments must be made at the SLB loan office.
Please be reminded that we accept applications for the Pay As You Study (PAYS) and PostGrad loans throughout the year.

The SLB loan works in close partnership with approved universities and colleges to ensure that your tuition financing is handled thereby allowing you more time to commit to your studies.
Originally, the Students’ Loan Bureau advised that the SLB loan application period for the 2017/18 academic year had commenced on February 13 to May 31 2017. Applications for the Targeted Loan(used for undergraduate study and repaid after completion) are to be done online at the SLB website – http://www.slbja.com and will be accepted for both New and Returning Applicants.
All Returning applicants are required to submit their Status Report forms online (www.slbja.com) by the now extended application deadline to facilitate the renewal of their loans. Returning SLB Beneficiaries must submit the most recent transcript which reflects their GPA.
New applicants are required to complete and submit their applications within the specified timeframe. The Acceptance Letter from the tertiary institution is not required at the time of application. This can be submitted at a later date, upon receipt.
Applicants are required to utilize the SLB’s upload facility for the submission of their supporting documents.
