Caribbean Shipping Association – Monica Silvera Scholarships
The Caribbean Shipping Association Monica Silvera Scholarships are available to students enrolled in ALL Programmes at the Caribbean Maritime University, special consideration will be given to final year students.
The Caribbean Shipping Association Scholarships are awarded to students (applicant or returning) who are a Caribbean national from countries with membership to the Caribbean Shipping Association. The awardee will be of good character, displaying leadership qualities and consistent involvement in social/community activities. The annual application period is: May 1 – July 31.
Applications are now being accepted for tuition bursaries under the Caribbean Shipping Association’s Monica Silvera Scholarship Programme. The bursaries are tenable at the Caribbean Maritime University (CMU) for the following specific programmes:
- Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (Deck)
- Bachelor of Engineering in Marine Engineering
- Bachelor of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Systems
- Bachelor of Science in International Shipping
- Bachelor of Science in Port Management
- Bachelor of Science in Cruise Shipping and Marine Tourism
- Bachelor of Science in Security Administration and Management
- Bachelor of Science in Customs Processes, Freight Forwarding and Immigration
The successful awardee would have successfully completed all three (3) stages and attained the highest points among the shortlisted group of applicants in the following areas.
Essay writing
“Regional significance of the Caribbean Shipping Association (CSA) to the Western Hemisphere.” Essays will be submitted along with completed application forms and Curriculum vitae. The deadline for submission is May 30, for the August intake of students annually. Word limit: 2000 words
