Cuba Scholarship Programme: The Government of Cuba invites applications from interested persons wishing to pursue Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies in Cuba under the Bilateral Cuba Scholarship Programme commencing September 2025.

Disciplines for the Cuba Scholarship Programme

Seven (7) scholarships to pursue Medicine Studies
Our (4) scholarships to pursue bachelor’s degrees in Health Technologies
One (1) scholarship to pursue Health Technologies Studies (2-3 years)
Two (2) scholarships to pursue postgraduate medical studies only for graduates from Cuban medical schools
Three (3) scholarship to pursue studies in degree courses associated with the Ministry of Higher Education of Cuba

Cuba Scholarship Eligibility

Candidates for Undergraduate studies: Be Jamaican under the age of 25 years old (only undergraduate specialties)
Have completed sixth form
Have at least two {2} “A” Levels or CAPE Units I & II in Biology, Chemistry and Physics (for medicine studies only)
Have English at least at the CSEC level
Submit certified copies of academic certificates and transcript, school record, school leaving certificate
Personal Letter of Request indicating community involvement and leadership
2 References, School or Community Leader
Submit a certified copy of Birth Certificate & TRN
Submit certificated copy of pages of national passport {Passport should not expire before April 30, 2032 }

Candidates for Postgraduate studies:

Be Jamaicans under the age of 35
Have a Degree in General Medicine from a University in Cuba and be interested in specializing in the indicated areas.
Submit certified copies of academic certificates and transcripts
Submit a certified copy of Birth Certificate & TRN
Submit certificated copy of pages of national passport {Passport should not expire before April 30, 2032}.

Obligation
Successful candidates will be required to :

Supplement at least one year allowance for preparatory year
Sign a bond agreement at the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service prior to departure
Agree to return to work in Jamaica for at least five (5) years to contribute to economic and social development of the country
