Criteria
The Jamaica National Building Society Scholarships are annual scholarship opportunities and are awarded through the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus Office of Student Financing. In addition, the award will be based on academic performance based on the results of the previous academic year University examinations (at least a GPA of 3.3);

- Verifiable financial need
Method of Selection
Short-listed candidates will be interviewed by a panel comprising personnel from the University and Donor Agency. The successful applicants will be required to do 30 hours of voluntary service at the Best Care Children’s Home. At the bottom section of the first page, please write the following information as it relates to the account held at JNBS:
- branch name
- name of account holder
- savings account number.
The Office of Student Financing (OSF) exists to assist registered full-time undergraduate students of the Mona Campus. The Office administers a number of scholarships, bursaries and grants as well as other forms of financial assistance.
Many scholarships and bursaries are awarded on the basis of academic performance however, there are numerous awards that are reserved for students who are pursuing a particular field of study, demonstrate financial need, leadership qualities and are actively involved in co-curricular activities. The OSF also seeks to provide general financial assistance to students who demonstrate financial need especially as it relates to their daily maintenance cost.
