The Dr. Keith Williams Dental Scholarship is an annual dentistry scholarship offered through the Grace Scholarship Fund to needy qualified students.  The Dr. Keith Williams Dental Scholarship is open to current dental students at the University of the West Indies Mona campus.

Scholarship Amount: $500USD

Application Deadline: May 1st,


Dr. Keith Williams Dental Scholarship Requirements:

  • Applicants for Dr. Keith Williams Dental Scholarship must be a Jamaican National
  • Must have attended and graduated high school in Jamaica
  • Must be currently enrolled in the Dental program at the University of West Indies – Mona Campus

About The Donor

Dr. Keith A. Williams is a Jamaican-born dentist residing in South Florida.  He is the owner and chief dental officer at South Gate Dental in Fort Lauderdale – a long standing dental practice that specializes in oral hygiene, crowns and bridges, dentures, TMJ treatments, root canals, extractions, periodontics and oral surgery.  Dr. Williams is a second time donor to the Grace Scholarship Fund.

Dr. Williams was born and raised in the Kingston area of Jamaica.  After graduating and completing A-levels, Dr. Williams emigrated to England to obtain his DDS degree. 

As a licensed dentist Dr. Williams has worked at various locations including Birmingham Dental Hospital (England), Kingston Public Hospital (Jamaica), Ministry of Health (Jamaica) and various private practices. 

Throughout the years, Dr. Williams has always remained a strong advocate of Jamaican education. As such, in recent years he has returned to Jamaica and worked as a visiting professor at the University of the West Indies Dental Program.  His time on the campus has increased his desire to help students obtain a dental education that can lead to a fulfilling lifelong career.  In his spare time Dr. Williams mentors several Jamaican students by imparting his knowledge of the industry while also sharing perspective on career development tracks.  It is this strong passion for Jamaican youth and education that has inspired Dr. Williams to fund these scholarships. 

Dr. Williams obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Bristol University in England his Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University in the United States.  

Dr. Willaims is an active member of The Jamaica Dental Association, The National Dental Association and The American Dental Association.
