TOP-performing Primary Exit Profile (PEP Scholars) students from across the country have been awarded one-time grants towards their education courtesy of JN Money Services Limited, owners and operators of the JN Money remittance brand.
The grants, which were being awarded for the second consecutive year, were presented at the annual JN scholarship awards reception recently. Sales and marketing specialist at JN Money, Cedrica Reid, who addressed the students at the event, lauded them for their spectacular performance in the PEP Scholars examinations.
“Let me extend my heartfelt congratulations to each of you — the crème de la crème, the best and brightest minds, who have excelled in your PEP examinations. Your hard work, determination, and commitment to academic excellence have not only set you apart but have also made your parents, teachers, and communities immensely proud,” she stated.
Reid noted that funding education in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean can be challenging. She emphasized JN Money’s commitment to assisting students to achieve their educational goals.

“As a Caribbean-owned remittance brand we understand the unique challenges and opportunities that our region faces. We see first-hand the sacrifices that many parents in the diaspora make to support the education of their families in Jamaica and, therefore, we continue to actively contribute to the building blocks of a stronger and more vibrant Jamaica through these PEP scholars awards,” she declared.
During her address she empowered the high achievers to continue to do well and to be a positive example to others around them. “As you continue your high school journey, remember that you carry the hopes and dreams of your families, communities, and our beloved Jamaica.
Your success is not just a personal triumph but a testament to the resilience and potential that exists within our nation. Embrace the challenges, savour the victories, and never forget that each of you are a vital part of the tapestry that makes Jamaica extraordinary,” Reid encouraged. The grants, valued at $30,000 each, were also accompanied by school supplies.
“JN Money is honoured to be awarding the top 10 PEP scholars with grants to support their thrust for greatness. Let this be a reminder that you are not alone on this journey, you have a community, a nation, and JN Money’s support for an even greater foundation beneath you,” she remarked.
Including the 10 JN Money scholars, a total of 37 PEP scholars received five-year scholarships from JN Foundation, JN Group’s philanthropic arm.
