TU Delft University of Technology is delighted to announce its new Justus & Louise van Effen Excellence Scholarships for international students for the academic year 2018.
The Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands will be hosting this TU Delft Justus & Louise van Effen Excellence Scholarships for International Students at the Masters Degree level. Qualified applicants are invited to apply early to be shortlisted for this prestigious annual international scholarship.

TU Delft Excellence Scholarships for International Students Brief Description:
The Delft University of Technology offers a number of excellence scholarship programs for international students. The Justus & Louise van Effen Scholarship is one of those programs and it aims to financially supporting excellent international MSc students wishing to study at TU Delft.
Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) aims to attract the world’s brightest students to its international classrooms. For that reason, it has established several scholarship programmes specifically designed to offer talented and motivated international students the opportunity to pursue a degree at TU Delft.
The Foundation Justus & Louise van Effen was established with the aim of stimulating excellent international MSc students and financially supporting them in their wish to study at TU Delft.
TU Delft collaborates with a large number of other educational and research institutes within the Netherlands and abroad and has a reputation for high-quality teaching and research. TU Delft has extensive contacts with governments, trade organisations, consultancies, the industry and small and medium-sized companies.
Study Subject
Scholarships are awarded in any of the subjects offered by the university. Students applying for any of the TU Delft’s MSc programmes can apply for Excellence Scholarships.
Scholarship Award
Full fee waiver for a TUDelft MSc programme and living expenses for 2 years. Membership to the Scholarship club giving access to personal development, workshops, seminars, etc.

- Scholarship can be taken in the Netherlands
Eligibility
The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for scholarship.
Excellent international applicants admitted to one of TU Delft’s MSc programmes, with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 80 percent or higher of the scale maximum in your bachelor’s degree from an internationally renowned university.
- Nationality: International students are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirements: A bachelor’s degree from a good university, that is comparable in level with a bachelor degree from a research university in the Netherlands in the main subject closely related to the MSc programme to which you are applying, with good grades on the key courses.
English language Requirements: Proof of English language proficiency.
- A TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with an overall Band score of at least 90 and a minimum score of 21 for each section. Please note that we only accept the TOEFL internet-based test.
- An IELTS (academic version) with an overall Band score of at least 6.5 and a minimum of 6.0 for each section.
- Proof that you have passed the Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE)exam, the Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) exam or the Cambridge English: Business Higher (BEC Higher) exam.
How to Apply
To be considered for these scholarships, your complete application for an MSc programme must be uploaded before 1 December. Please, not that non-EU student must include their English test with their application. EU students can submit this in a later stage according to the Admission instructions.
In addition to all the regular documents for an MSc programme application, you must also upload a Scholarship Application Form in which you make clear why you are applying for the scholarship. Only students meeting this deadline who have been (conditionally) admitted to one of the MSc programmes of TU Delft will be considered for these scholarships
