The Senior Common Room Anniversary Scholarship is an annual scholarship award open to students of the University of the West Indies , Mona Campus. The Senior Common Room Anniversary Scholarship covers J$300,000 of the scholarship awardee’s tuition and last for one (1) year of the duration of the course. The deadline for this scholarship opportunity will be July, 15, 2017.

Senior Common Room Anniversary Scholarship
The Senior Common Room Anniversary Scholarship award is available to Jamaican Nationals who are registered and entering their final year of studies. This scholarship is for full time undergraduate students pursuing a B.Sc. in either the Faculty of Humanities & Education, Engineering, Science & Technology, Medical Sciences (Government Sponsored)
Criteria
The Foundation Scholarship award will be based on academic performance based on the results of the previous year University examinations (minimum GPA of 3.0) with verifiable financial need. The successful applicant must have active participation in co-curricular activities and demonstrable leadership qualities, volunteerism and social involvement.
Short-listed candidates will be interviewed by a panel comprising personnel from the Senior Common Room Club Management Committee.
Special Requirements
In addition to the referee’s affadavit, all applications should be accompanied by a recommendation letter from the Head of Department or the Dean of the Faculty. Applicants applying for more than one award should submit a SEPARATE application form when applying for this scholarship.

The application form must be completed regardless of the type of assistance in which the student is interested. Applications will be considered by the Financial Assistance Committee who will, based on the information provided by the student, determine which type of assistance will be offered.
