The Sydney A. Phillips Scholarship 2025/2026
The annual Sydney A. Phillips Scholarship from the offices of Robinson Phillips & Whitehorne in Highgate, St. Mary are accepting applications for their $300,000 scholarship award by the no later than Friday, May 23, 2025 at 5:00pm.
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the Sydney A. Phillips Scholarship for the academic year 2025/2026 academic year and is tenable at the University of the West Indies, the University of Technology, Northern Caribbean University, Edna Manley College of Visual and Performing Arts, International University of the Caribbean, Mico University College, Caribbean Maritime Institute or any other tertiary institution in Jamaica.
Sydney A. Phillips Scholarship Eligibility
Candidates of the Sydney A. Phillips Scholarship should:
- Possess good academic records
- Have already been accepted by the institution and will have completed a minimum of one academic year by July.
- Have attended school in St. Mary to at least CXC level
- Be a resident of St. Mary
- Be actively involved in community and/or school activities
Scholarship Value
The award is valued at $300,000.00 per annum – renewable upon confirmation of good academic standing.
Scholarship Requirements
The successful scholarship applicant will be required to serve in Jamaica for a period of three years immediately following completion of their studies.
Application forms can be obtained from the scholarship offices at UWI and the University of Technology or the offices of Robinson Phillips & Whitehorne in Highgate, St. Mary.
